The other day, I took a taxi to go to Pavillion. (I usually prefer to take public transportation to the city because the cost of parking fee can kill me, lol). And on my way, a lorry tried to come out from a junction without stopping, or even looking first
Ikut undang-undang jalan raya pun, memang pemandu lori tu salah… (Markah exam undang-undang jalan raya I boleh tahan tinggi jugak okkay, hehehe)
But what scared me was the taxi driver’s response over that situation
He was totally really really angry with the lorry driver. I mean really really angry. He showed the lorry driver his fist and a rude sign saying something like “Watch out you bastard” (lol). I mean, yea, If I’m the taxi driver, I would get angry too. But I personally think he’s just being wayyy overreacted
The lorry driver happens to be an Indian driver. So after a few seconds, he started babbling about how useless Indian is, how the Indian, Chinese and other races are our biggest enemy and everything. He also babbled about how the race integration in our country looks so harmony from the outside, but it’s totally the opposite in his view. Well, of course it is when you think and want it to be! DUH!
lol.
In my opinion, this all depends on you, yourself. Because you are what you think. If you think other races are bad, don’t treat you right, disrespect you… bla bla bla, then that’s the way it’s going to be. That’s what’s going to happen to you. You can’t expect others to respect you when you have no respect on others as well. Treat people the way you want to be treated. And that is what the society is lacking.
And the other reason peace is hard to find is because people keep looking, searching and focusing on our differences instead of enjoying our common and similarities. Differences should be something you can learn and understand, not to be reason to hate each other
In my experience, I find it very interesting to befriend with people from other races or countries, because I get to open my heart and mind to much more new things
Why is it that God created us from so many races? It is so that we can get to know each other, learn each others’ respective cultures and learn to respect each other
No matter who we are, each one of us has our own specialty and weakness… so basically, we’re all the same.

I’ve had some bad experiences with taxi drivers too…they always seem to be in a really bad mood LOL I think that maybe they are really stressed out…their job is probably really annoying.
I agree with you. People focus way too much on our differences and fail to see how much we are really alike. If more people realized that, the world would be such a better place. Hopefully one day people will wake up.
I ope you’re having a good day! :-) Good blog post!
yea, i guess they’re all stressed up, lol.
