Ever saw a thin bordered text on a graphic? Here’s a way to do it using Paint Shop Pro 8;
- Ok, first, create a new image of the width and height of your choice. Set the background color of the canvas to the border color of your choice. Here, I’m going to pick black as my border color, so I set my background color to black, like below;
- Select the text tool and set the create as to selection. Everything else is up to your choice;
- On the color pallette tool, set the background to a brighter color than the border. Here, I use white color;
- You can click on the canvas to create the text, and then click apply. The text will look something like this;
- Hit the delete button on your keyboard, and it will look something like this now;
- Now, go to Selection > Modify > Expand. The setting like below will show-up. Here, I’m going to set it to 1 px;

If you want to set your border to be wider, you can do so by setting higher number of pixels.
- The text will now look something like below…
- …and it’s ready to be pasted on any layouts/graphics…etc;
