Need an easy text counter for your site? But notice that this counter can only be placed on a .php extension file. The script was created by Nick of http://csb.thepetscorner.com. Follow these steps;
- Download this file. Right-click and save as (textcounter.zip)
- There will be three (3) files in the zip file;
2) counter.txt
3) readme.html
Extract them into your computer.
- The only thing you need to edit is the counter.txt file. Open it and change the count to your site current counter count or just any count you like.
- Upload the counter.txt and counterphp.txt onto your server.
- On your server, CHMOD counter.txt to 777 (owner: r-w-e, group: r-w-e, other: r-w-e)
- Open the .php file where you want the counter to be, and place this codes;
- If you place the two (2) files in another directory, you can place the codes as follows;
