First, you have to enable for the usage of this file. You can do that from your blog settings.
Options > Miscellaneous > check the box for
“Use legacy my-hacks.php file support”
“Use legacy my-hacks.php file support”
If you still haven’t got the file yet, create one. Open a new empty text editor. Write these starting for the first line;
<?php
Press Return twice, now type
?>
Save it as my-hacks.php, and upload it on your blog root directory (where your blog index file is).
If you’ll need to put up any new hacks, just copy and paste the codes in this file and upload it.
You may get error notes like ‘Headers already sent’. This means that you have accidentally included whitespace or carriage returns outside of what is written above. Check and delete the spaces, and upload the file again.
When you don’t get that error message anymore, that means it’s fully working ;)
